About Tovajo
We are building a clearer, fairer way for people to save and contribute together.
Why Tovajo exists
Saving together is one of the oldest financial habits in Nigeria. Ajo, esusu, adashe, family contributions and cooperative savings help millions of people reach goals they could not reach alone.
These arrangements usually run on trust, memory and long WhatsApp threads. When someone forgets who has paid, disputes an amount or misses a contribution, that trust is tested.
Tovajo gives every group one shared, honest record: the rules everyone agreed to, the schedule, who has paid, who is next and what is still outstanding.
What we believe
- Clarity over cleverness. Plain explanations, exact amounts and no hidden fees.
- Honesty about risk. Saving with others carries risk. We show shortfalls rather than hide them, and we never promise returns or guarantee other members' payments.
- Privacy by default. Members see what they need to, and nothing more.
- Responsibility with money. Tovajo does not hold customer funds today. Wallet features will only launch with a properly licensed financial partner.
Where we are
Tovajo is in early development, starting in Nigeria. If you run a savings group, a cooperative or an association and would like to help shape the product, we would love to hear from you.
